How to use it
- Type each time as hours:minutes:seconds, like 1:45:30.
- Two parts are minutes:seconds (5:30 is 5 minutes 30 seconds); one number is seconds.
- Hours can go past 24, and seconds can have decimals (12.5).
Formula
Total seconds = hours × 3,600 + minutes × 60 + secondsAdd or subtract the totals, then convert back to h:mm:ss
Example
1:45:30 + 0:30:45: that is 6,330 + 1,845 = 8,175 seconds, which is 2:16:15 (2.2708 hours). Subtracting 2:30:00 from 1:00:00 gives −1:30:00.
