| GPA (4.0 scale) | 3.48 |
|---|---|
| Courses | 4 |
| Credits | 13 |
| Quality points | 45.3 |
How to use it
- Type one course per line: an optional name, the letter grade, then the credits (for example "Biology B+ 4").
- You can also use grade points, like "3.7 3".
Formula
GPA = Σ(grade points × credits) ÷ Σ credits- A/A+ 4.0, A− 3.7, B+ 3.3, B 3.0, B− 2.7, C+ 2.3, C 2.0, C− 1.7, D+ 1.3, D 1.0, D− 0.7, F 0
Example
A in a 4-credit class (16 points), B+ in a 3-credit class (9.9) and C in a 2-credit class (4) total 29.9 points over 9 credits: GPA 3.32.
Questions
Does an A+ count as 4.3?
At many schools it counts as 4.0, which is what we use. If yours uses 4.3, type 4.3 instead of A+.
Weighted vs unweighted GPA?
This is unweighted. For honors or AP classes on a weighted scale, type the weighted grade points directly (for example 5 3).
