Formula
°C = (°F − 32) × 5 ÷ 9°F = °C × 9 ÷ 5 + 32K = °C + 273.15
Example
72 °F is (72 − 32) × 5 ÷ 9 ≈ 22.2 °C. Handy reference points: water freezes at 32 °F / 0 °C and boils at 212 °F / 100 °C at sea level; body temperature is about 98.6 °F / 37 °C.
